Are you a kid at heart? If so, this post is for you. How many of us have really gotten past the Disney phase? Don't we all stop automatically whenever we are scrolling through random channels and there's a Disney movie playing? In this blog post, I'll be recommending 20 must-watch Disney movies.







UNANIMATED-


1. A Wrinkle in Time
This Disney movie is based on the novel by Madeleine L'Engle. This movie revolves around a girl called Meg, who must embark on a journey to another planet along with her brother Charles Wallace and her friend Calvin to find her father who disappeared four years ago. According to me, this movie is extremely thrilling and I wasn't bored for even a second while watching it.




2. The parent trap (1998)
This movie is the remake of the movie released in 1961 of the same name. This is a classic story of two twins getting separated at a young age due to their parents separating.
At a summer camp, Hailey and Annie realise that they are twins and try to get their parents back together. I feel this movie is extremely entertaining and is a must-watch.




3. The Princess Diaries
The Princess Diaries is a teen comedy film based on Meg Cabot's 2000 young adult novel of the same name. The film follows Mia a shy American teenager who learns she is heir to the throne of a European kingdom. Under the tutelage of her estranged grandmother (Andrews), the kingdom's reigning queen, Mia must decide whether to claim the throne she has inherited or renounce her title permanently.




4. Pirates of the Caribbean (6 parts)
Pirates of the Caribbean is a very intriguing movie series by Disney. All 6 stories of the series follow the adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley). It's a very enthralling and humorous series and is definitely a must-watch for adventure seekers.

5. The Chronicles of Narnia
The Chronicles of Narnia is a movie trilogy based on a book series. The series revolves around the adventures of children in the world of Narnia, guided by Aslan, a wise and powerful lion that can speak and is the true king of Narnia. It's an extremely enchanting and absorbing series.




6. High School Musical

The high school musical trilogy revolves around 2 high school students, Troy and Gabriella, whose whole life changes after they meet each other. If you're a music person, this series is for you. There's not a minute in the series without a song!




7. Descendants
This trilogy is especially for the people who wonder, what happens after a fairy tale's happy ending. This movie is about the next generation of all those fairy tales we heard as kids. This series has a brilliant plot line and is the perfect blend of action, suspense and songs.

8. Maleficent
This movie reveals the dark secrets and the unknown side of the fairy tale we all know and love, Sleeping Beauty. Although its a story we all know, there's something about this movie that's very captivating. It makes us feel like we're listening to the story for the first time all over again.

9. Toy Story
Toy Story is a series that is very close to my heart and makes me cry every time I watch it. This series revolves around a kid, Andy and his toys. This series is from the perspective of the toys, and it's about how they too have feelings. Every toy wants a kid to love them and every toy wants to be played with. This series has 4 parts and all 4 have a unique and beautiful story of their own.




10. WALL-E
WALL-E is a futuristic story about how the earth becomes a wasteland and a robot called
WALL-E is the only one left to clean it up. WALL-E soon falls in love with a scanner robot, Eve and they embark on a journey to outer space. This is a lovely movie and can be enjoyed by people of all ages.



11. Cars
Cars is a series based around a race car Lightning McQueen and his friends and all the adventures they have together. This series has 3 parts and has a very engrossing storyline.



12. Wreck-it-Ralph
      Wreck-it- Ralph takes us into the arcade video game world, where he and his other virtual friends have amazing adventures. Wreck-It-Ralph has 2 parts, the second one being Ralph breaks the internet. Both movies are compelling and teach us some valuable lessons.




13.Big Hero 6
     Big Hero 6 is a very heart-rendering story with an adventurous twist which leaves the viewers in amazement. It revolves around 14-year-old Hiro Hamada, whose entire life turns upside down after he activates his brother's robot, Baymax.



14. Inside Out
     Inside out is a very fascinating story about a girl, Riley and how her emotions inside her brain affect every decision she makes. It's also a very emotional and heart-warming story and is a must-watch for all Disney fans.
      


15. Moana
Moana is my favourite Disney princess movie of all times. It's about Moana, the daughter of the chief of the island Motunui. She embarks on a journey along with the demigod Maui, to save her island and her people from the evil darkness.

16. The Incredibles
     Incredibles is a 2 part movie series about 2 superheroes and super-children who go on exciting adventures and save the world together. It's an action-packed and humorous series worth watching with family.



17. Up
Up is a story about an old man, Carl, who is saddened by the death of his wife Ellie. Carl's life takes an unexpected turn when he meets a young wilderness explorer, Russell and they set about on an adventure together. This story is extremely sentimental and simply beautiful.



18. Finding Dory
 Finding Dory is the sequel to Finding Nemo, based about Dory, a fish with short-term memory loss who is determined to find her family along with the help of her friends.



19. Zootopia
Zootopia is the story of a rabbit, Judy Hopps who is determined to show everyone that she's a good police officer and that 'anyone can be anything', but she faces bumps along the road.



20. Ratatouille
This story is about a rat who has a keen interest in cooking and helps Linguini, a chef who doesn't know how to cook.
