More book recommendations!
Hey readers!
I did my last book recommendations post in September and boy has it been two good months! Every single book I read is just so amazing! So, I'm gonna be rating the books I read. No, I won't give out any spoilers, so this post is completely safe ;)
1. When we collided by Emery Lord- (5/5) I have one word- WOW. This book had stolen heart in the very first chapter! It starts off with a light-hearted note but as the story proceeds, it teaches the readers plenty of things about losses, family, and mental health. And yes, it made me sob.
2. They both die at the End by Adam Silvera- (4/5) I know what you're thinking! No, it's not a spoiler, it's the name of the book. I loved the characters in the book and the overall story. Although it's such a beautiful story and left me crumpled, I found myself searching for a surprise element while reading it.
3. The summer I turned pretty by Jenny Han (series of 3 books)- (3/5) So, this is why I decided to rate the whole series together- what happens in the 2nd and 3rd book affected my feelings about the first book. The first book was pure bliss to read. Summer vibes, childhood stories, and sibling stuff just made this book a solid 5-star rating for me! But, I wasn't a huge fan of the second and the third book and found myself judging the life choices of the protagonist at more than one point. If I go back and read the first book now, I might not enjoy it as much as I did previously. But I don't regret reading this series!
4. Because of India by Brandi Sumey- (5/5) Being a proud Indian, I was excited to read this book with the hopes that it was set in India. After discovering that India was just the name of one of the characters, I've gotta admit I was a tad disappointed. Regardless, the book did not fail to leave me in a puddle of tears. The story resonated with me so much for some reason and this is definitely the best book I've read in these two months. I finished it in one sitting! The first thing I did after reading it was re-reading it!
5. A thousand boy kisses by Tillie Cole(4/5) A really nice story, and very captivating, but for some reason, I found it very cliche. But if you love cliches, then you'll love this book. I personally liked the beginning more than the rest of the story.
6. I'll give you the sun by Jandy Nelson- (5/5) ]I might sound like I'm repeating myself, but I just finished this book and I am mind-blown. It is a masterpiece. The way that all the elements and side- stories came together in the end, left me awe-struck and heart warmed at the same time. I don't think I was bored for even a second while reading this book!
7. We were liars by E. Lockhart- (4/5) Just like the 1st book of the summer series, this book really held my eye. The ending was quite unexpected! I love unexpected endings and this one wasn't an exception at first. But, the more and more I thought about it, the lesser and lesser sense it made. Many people online think the ending was the best part, but I beg to differ. Nevertheless, this book is a must-read!
I hope this post helped you! All the books that I mentioned are amazing and I think every one of them is worth reading. Here are a few of my earlier book recommendation posts-
