Practicing self-care

All of us have those times when we just get tired of our everyday routines and just feel demotivated and burned out. During such times, it's important to give yourself relaxation time, and the best way to do that is by practicing self-care.
Now, many people say that self-care is spiritual, about meditating and journaling. That might work for some people, but not for me. I feel that self-care is all about giving yourself time to do something that you love, just because you love it. It's also about surrounding yourself with things, smells, and sounds that make you feel relaxed and comfortable.
Most of our schedules are tightly packed, with hardly any time to spare. But, it's very important to give yourself if not a whole day, at least 2-3 hours to do something that you love. It could be doing some painting, or reading a book, strumming the guitar, the possibilities are endless. Just make sure that whatever you do makes you feel happy and distracts you from struggles of the everyday. ;)
If you want to practice self-care on a weekly basis, the best day to do this is on a Sunday. Because of the obvious reason that it's a holiday and also because it allows you to start the next week with a positive state of mind, knowing that you took some time out for yourself. During this time, try to stay off-screen as much as possible.
