April reads: ratings and reviews

 Hey readers!

So, I kept my promise. I finished all the books I told you I would. Well, sort of. Turns out the Artemis Fowl book I have is the 2nd book. And I haven't read the first. But I do have a bonus book and a reread for this month. Here are their ratings are reviews.

1. You Should See Me In a Crown (3.5/5)
Every single YA book recommendation video/ post I saw had this book at some point. So, I decided to read it and see for myself what the fuss was all about. This book was a very pleasant read, although a little too predictable.

2. 13 little blue envelopes (4/5)
I love books about traveling and have read many of them. This book, like most adventure books, was very fast-paced and hence very enjoyable. Twists, turns, people, and places were all plenty in this book and I really liked it. This book has a sequel which I probably will be reading in the near future.

3. A very large expanse of the sea (4/5)
This book was unputdownable. Without a doubt, a beautiful book. This book outlines all the problems that minorities face and all the struggles they have to go through. I think of this book as a spin on classic high school books.

4. Watch us rise (5/5)
This book is eye-opening. Every single girl needs to read this book at least once. The protagonists of this book are genuinely relatable characters and their thoughts reflect those of every single woman. I love the way feminism is portrayed in the book and was truly angered at all the unjust things women face every day that the book talked about. Definitely, a must-read.

Bonus book: Eliza and her monsters (3.5/5)
This book had quite an interesting concept, although it took a turn which in my opinion was cliche. The beginning was extremely interesting but as the book progressed, I  sort of lost interest. My favorite thing about the book was that it includes text messages and sketches by the protagonist.

Reread: The hunger games (5/5)
I forgot half the things that happen in this book. I know! I'm disappointed in myself too! But, reading this book was so much fun, especially right now when I'm stuck at home. At least Katniss has some adventure in her life. Living vicariously through her for those 2 days was the best.

So, there you go. Those are all the books I read in April. May isn't really going that great right now because I can't go out to get books :/ Will I be rereading as many books as I can? YES. YES. YES.
And maybe I'll tell you if they were worth rereading in my next post O_o
Thank you so much for reading! Stay tuned for more :)
