Finding inspiration+ Self care routine
Hey readers!
Finding inspiration. It's the one thing that most artists (amateur or professional) struggle with. I know I have written many posts earlier about finding inspiration (links mentioned at the end of the post), but I tried something this week that really works for me.
In one of my previous posts, I talked about practicing self-care, and also about self- care Sundays. ( If you haven't seen it yet, click here-https://arteenonline.blogspot.com/2020/06/practicing-self-care.html) Self-care Sundays are great, but let's face it, most of the times we are either so busy on Sundays that we get hardly any time, or we spend most of the week thinking about the things we could do on Sundays.
So this post is about finding inspiration for your art and at the same time, not stressing yourself to do it, rather make it an inspiring and enjoyable process!
Here are some steps to find your own self-care inspiration routine-
1. Fix a time
Dedicate a particular time for just sitting down and giving yourself time. It could be every day or every alternate day. At night, just before going to bed is the ideal time. Just make sure you stick to the time you allot.
2. Dedicate a place
Choose the place where you feel most comfortable and inspired.
3. Listen to something
It could be your playlist or a podcast. I personally like to listen to any inspirational podcast.
4. Pick up a random notebook
It doesn't have to be a journal, just a book where you write/ draw whatever comes to mind. If you just feel like scribbling, do it! Don't force yourself to make it perfect.
5. Weekly review!
I know that's not the ideal name, but I didn't know what else to call it ;). This is either on a Sunday or whenever you are the freest. Just go through whatever you drew or wrote that week and if any ideas spring up in your head, just put it on paper!
That's all the tips I have for you! I hope these helped in some way. If you've tried this, let me know in the comments how it went! Stay tuned for more content!
